PDR Celebrates turning 15!

PDR Recruitment is celebrating its 15th anniversary!

June is always an important month for PDR and this year marks the 15th anniversary of the official launch – We have come such a long way since then and we’re so proud to have made it this far!

When PDR first launched in 2007, things looked slightly different. Tony Blair was still Prime Minister, petrol cost an average of 96.7p per litre, the average house in the UK cost £188,000 and unemployment was at 5.26%.

There might have been 7 prime ministers, a global pandemic, and a number of economic crises since then, but one thing has stayed consistent: PDR’s dedication to helping businesses and individuals solve their employment needs.

Our achievements have been nothing short of remarkable over the past decade and a half—and they never would have happened without you: our clients ,candidates and the business partnerships that we have forged over that time.

We spoke to Phil, Managing Director of PDR, about some of his favourite memories from the last 15 years, and what he hopes the future will bring:

"I don’t think anyone ever told me how hard it would be to run your own business and the variety of different challenges that it would bring. Having run various offices there was always someone to call on or ask them for advice but when you are in business on your own those people aren’t always around to speak to. Once you have things sorted the next challenge always seems to raise its ugly head. The success of PDRs longevity seems to be get your head down and crack on, employ people that want to share in the success and be prepared to let them go when they have outgrown you. Flex with the changes that you face and ride out the storms Sunny days are round the corner.

I have worked with some truly wonderful people that have supported me and the current team continue to do so even in such a challenging marketplace.

The highs have come from helping others achieve their dreams whether that be getting the job they wanted or the promotion they deserved and that remains true to this day.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years. We could not have done it without you."

Here’s to the next 15 years!
