Production Operative - Etching

Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking for an Etching Technician in join their Fettling department.

In this integral role you will be responsible for marking the manufactured component parts, ensuring products are correctly labelled and tracked, to aid quality and traceability in the production process.

Main duties include

• Marking castings using a compressed air vibro-etching tool.
• Shot-blasting duties using air-powered hand tools
• Reporting any issues to team leaders.
• Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing warehouse/production environment.
• A steady hand and clear, legible hand writing.
• Good degree of manual dexterity, experience using hand tools.
• Ability to follow procedures and protocols
• Safety boots will be required, all other PPE provided

Previous experience of engraving/marking parts using methods such as Vibro Etching would be preferable but is not essential.

CLEAR LEGIBLE HANDWRITING IS ESSENTIAL

Hours

Monday to Friday - 40 Hours a week

• 07.30-16.30 Monday - Thursday
• 07:30-13:30 Friday
